Fox Sports 1 will be offering fans new ways to see the action tonight, with new camera angles and audio options for both the official broadcast of Villanova's exhibition game, as well as available via the FOX Sports GO mobile app. The broadcast team of Tim Brando and Bill Raftery will have access to members of the 1985 National Champion Wildcats during the game to help add color to the discussion, as well.
The fun changes will include a 'manager-cam' worn by student-manager Mike Clark, to give fans a view from the bench. Fox will add other cameras around the arena for additional views of the court, and both Villanova head coach Jay Wright and legendary Northwood (and former Villanova) coach Rollie Massimino will be mic'd up for the game -- to allow you to hear them in the team huddles.
"We are thrilled to offer fans such a unique look at college basketball," Mike Davies, FOX Sports Senior Vice President, Field Operations, said. "We are so thankful to Jay Wright and Rollie Massimino for allowing us to showcase their teams in this manner and look forward to delivering fans a one-of-a-kind look at the game."
Fans watching on FOX Sports GO can choose the camera angles that they view from. So, if your dream is to see what a Villanova game looks like from the Manager's spot at the end of the bench, this is your chance.
The Wildcats will follow this game -- an exhibition and celebration of Massimino's 1985 Championship -- with another exhibition against Nyack. The regular season will begin on Friday, November 14th, when the 'Cats take on Lehigh in Allentown, to be broadcast by Fox Sports 2.
