Villanova Students to screen movie on Tony Chennault's life

Ten Villanova students will be screening a film entitled "In Transition: Tony Chennault" next Saturday, December 13th at 7:30pm in the Connelly Cinema at Villanova University. The student-produced documentary, directed by junior Elinore Wright, will chronicle Chennault's life from high school to present-day.

The story begins with Chennault as a top-50 ranked point guard attending Neumann-Goretti High School. The film then reveals details of the ex-Wildcat's two years at Wake Forest before transferring back home to `Nova after his brother's death. The conclusion of the movie outlines Chennault's current career as a film-maker who focuses on inspiring youth in his community and beyond.

Many Wildcat fans recall the tragic events Tony experienced while transferring to Villanova. His brother, Michael Jay, was shot and killed in Philadelphia. At this time his mother, Crystal Morton, had hardships of her own as she was going through respiratory failure. In August of the following year she died of a heart attack.
