Jay Wright's Villanova squad dropped 3 spots in the newest AP Poll to #9 and 5 spots in the Coaches Poll to #11, following a 101-80 defeat in Omaha to Creighton on Sunday. Last week, the voters in both polls ranked 'Nova #6.
An earlier win in the week on the road over DePaul by 25 couldn't salvage the Wildcats (22-3, 10-2).
The Big East is also represented by Creighton who improves from #18 to #11 in the newest AP Poll and #12 in the Coaches. They were the only two Big East schools to receive votes this week.
Syracuse (25-0, 12-0) remains the #1 team in the country, with Florida taking over as the #2
