MJ Rhett, a 6'9" forward for the Tennessee State Tigers will graduate this spring from the Nashville school.
The Tigers, who finished 5-25 (4-12 in the Ohio Valley) canned their head coach Travis Williams last week; a move that is prompting rumors of the possible transfer of Rhett.
Rhett, a Columbia, SC native who redshirted his would-be-freshman season in 2010-11, will have one year of eligibility left and should be able to play immediately.
The Human Performance & Sports Science major, averaged 10.9ppg and 9.1rebs this season. He scored 16 and tallied 11 boards against the Wichita State Shockers this season and had 14 & 5 agains the Tennessee Volunteers.
With that size, those numbers, and instant availability next season, a long list of suitors exist. According to a tweet from Jeff Goodman, that list not only includes Villanova, but Oklahoma State, Wichita State, Memphis, Miami, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Minnesota, & Texas A&M as well.
