Maurice Watson Jr. has announced his plans to transfer from Boston University, and is looking to make the move to a bigger school to enhance his chances of eventually playing in the NBA. Originally from Philadelphia, Villanova is showing some interest in bringing Watson on board, per Alex Kline.
Vanderbilt, Temple, Kansas, Wichita State, Drexel, Villanova, Houston, Butler & others have inquired about Boston U transfer Maurice Watson.

Watson averaged 13.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 7.1 assists this past season as the Boston Terriers won the Patriot League regular season title. He would not be eligible to see the court at his next school until the 2015-16 season.
There's no doubt Watson can play, and the ties he has to Philadelphia and Villanova (Boston head coach Joe Jones was on Jay Wright's staffs at Hofstra and Villanova), but the obvious question is whether Villanova needs Watson.
When Watson becomes eligible (with two years remaining), Ryan Arcidiacono and Dylan Ennis will be seniors, Phil Booth will be a sophomore, and Donte DiVincenzo will be a freshman. That's already a crowded backcourt (and a talented one, too).
I find it hard to believe that 'Nova is seriously interested, but would you like to see Maurice Watson transfer to Villanova?
