Welcome to the offseason! The 2015 board will occur on the first weekday of the month, and the 2016 board will be posted on roughly the 15th of the month.
The Villanova Wildcats are currently sitting pretty, as they say, with regards to recruiting. They've got two commitments lined up in the 2015 cycle already with guard Donte DiVincenzo and forward Tim Delaney which should allow Jay Wright to be very selective in this cycle, as well as the loaded 2016 class.
H/T to Mike, we've got a nice graphic of the roster outlook, so you can get a good feel for how the next few years will play out. It is way too early to bank on a certain number of scholarships available, but it feels like Villanova will be after at least one more prospect - and God willing - 2 or 3 more so that they use their full allotment of scholarships available.
Point Guards
Ryan Arcidiacono and Dylan Ennis will have 1 year of eligibility remaining when this class is on campus, but Phil Booth committed to Villanova at the end of July. It would be nice to bring in at least one ball handler.

Jalen Brunson
Follow @jbcrossover5 |
Lincolnshire, IL (Stevenson & Mac Irvin Fire) |
6'2", 175 lbs. |
|
Villanova recently conducted an in-home visit with Brunson, who insists he hasn't cut down his list of suitors just yet. Check out the last quote here - sound familiar? |
|
Levan Alston
|
Haverford, PA (Haverford School & Team Final) |
6'3", 170 lbs. |
|
Alston took an unofficial visit to 'Nova in early June, but 'Nova has yet to offer like some of the other local schools. Alston's father played at Temple, but he has insisted that won't give them an edge. He had a very impressive showing at the first EYBL session, and should get some more high-major looks soon. |
|
Isaiah Briscoe
|
Newark, NJ (Roselle Catholic & NJ Playaz) |
6'4", 205 lbs. |
|
It's hard to see Villanova staying involved with Briscoe - he seems to have been favoring Arizona for a while, and is more focused on local schools like St. John's and Seton Hall on the east coast. |
Shooting Guards
Jay Wright has his man to replace Darrun Hilliard, who will have graduated when this class hits campus.

Donte DiVincenzo
|
Wilmington, DE (Salesianum School & Team Final) |
6'3", 170 lbs. |
N/A
|
DiVincenzo committed in early January and gives Jay Wright an athletic combo-guard that can both score and distribute. |
|
Malachi Richardson |
Roselle, NJ (Trenton Catholic & Team Final) |
6'5", 195 lbs. |

|
Richardson committed to the Orange over Villanova, Arizona, UConn, Indiana and Rutgers in December. |
|
Franklin Howard |
Fairfax, VA (Paul VI Catholic & Team Takeover) |
6'4", 175 lbs. |
N/A
|
Howard committed to Syracause in mid-April over Georgetown, Maryland, NC State, Ohio State and Virginia. |
Small Forwards
The commitment of Mikal Bridges added a nice piece to the wing for Villanova, and they look really good here in the coming years with Josh Hart and Kris Jenkins added to the fold in 2013.

Josh Reaves
|
Fairfax, VA (Paul VI Catholic & Team Takeover) |
6'4", 185 lbs. |
|
Reaves had good things to say recently about Villanova at the EYBL scrimmages, and he remains a priority target for Jay Wright. |
|
Trey Lowe Follow @Trey_Lowe1 |
Trenton, NJ (Ewing & Team Final) |
6'6", 175 lbs. |
|
An elite scorer, and by all accounts, a player who should absolutely blow up on the EYBL circuit this summer. Villanova is reportedly very close to offering and could throw themselves into the lead. |
|
Chris Clover |
Philadelphia, PA (St. Joseph's Prep & Philly Pride) |
6'4", 200 lbs. |
|
Clover picked up an offer from Villanova (along with Drexel) at the 'Nova team camp in mid-June. CoBL notes he's transitioning from the frontcourt to the wing, and needs to improve his jumpshot. He's said that he is considering leaving Philly for college. |
|
Derrick Jones Follow @_DerrickJ24_ |
Radnor, PA (Archbishop Carroll & WE-R-1) |
6'6", 180 lbs. |
|
Villanova is still actively working on Jones, and sent coaches to the Pitt Jam Fest to watch him play. He's supremely athletic, but his game isn't very polished right now. |
Forwards/Centers
Delaney being in the fold so early is a big plus as it allows Jay Wright to be a little more selective and focus on some big names.

Tim Delaney |
Pitman, NJ (Pitman & WE-R-1) |
6'8", 225 lbs. |
N/A
|
Delaney should be the anchor who replaces Daniel Ochefu as Villanova's next presence in the post. It would be good if he had some company, however. |
|
Chris Silva |
Roselle, NJ (Roselle Catholic & NJ Roadrunners) |
6'9", 210 lbs. |
|
Chris Silva was offered by Villanova at the beginning of October. His recruitment is just starting to pick up, he saw Villanova in person twice last season - @Seton Hall and home vs. Marquette. |
|
Thomas Bryant |
Rochester, NY (Bishop Kearney & Team SCAN) |
6'8", 225 lbs. |
|
Bryant had hoards of coaches watching him at the EYBL. He's thought to be a Syracuse lean because of his location close to the campus. |
|
Moustapha Diagne Follow @Tapha35 |
Sparta, NJ (Pope John XXIII & NJ Playaz) |
6'9", 230 lbs. |
|
Diagne was one of the most impressive prospects at the first EYBL session, but it doesn't look like 'Nova is heavily involved despite an early offer. |
|
Marcus Derrickson |
Fairfax, VA (Paul VI Catholic & Team Takeover) |
6'7", 230 lbs. | N/A |
Derrickson committed to the Hoyas shortly after their Midnight Madness event to kick off the last season. |
