Villanova University said it received a $5 million commitment from retired American Eagle Outfitters Inc. CEO James V. O'Donnell and O'Donnell's wife, Charlotte, to establish the Charlotte and James V. O'Donnell '63 Center for Professional Development in the Villanova School of Business.

Senior long-stick midfielder John LoCascio (Fairfield, N.J.) of the Villanova men's lacrosse team was named to the Capital One Academic All-District II At-Large First Team as announced on Thursday, May 15.

When the MAC gave UMass the ultimatum to join for all sports or leave the league, the Minutemen opted to take their chances. Now, they're in talks with the surprisingly far-flung Sun Belt Conference, who need a 12th member. The Sun Belt may also consider current FCS teams for membership.
