Villanova was represented over the weekend at the 2014 IAAF World Relay Championships as Jordy Williamsz and Sam McEntee both donned their Australian singlets for the meet.
On Saturday, Williamsz ran the third leg of the 4x800 foursome where his split of 1:46.30 helped the Aussies finish fourth behind Kenya, Poland, and the US.
Sunday's 4x1500 saw both Wildcats in the lineup for Australia. Running the second leg, McEntee logged a 3:44.9 1500 and Williamsz's anchor leg clocked in 3:43.74 as the Aussie's finished fourth behind Kenya, USA, and Ethiopia. Their 14:46.04 claimed a new Australian record.
The duo will next join the rest of the Villanova NCAA qualifiers at the Outdoor Track & Field Championships (East Preliminary) in Jacksonville, FL. That meet starts on Thursday.
