He chose the Wildcats over offers from Albany, Bryant, Bucknell, Central Connecticut, Holy Cross, Lafayette and Rhode Island.
Last season, McClenton rushed for 1,700 yards and scored 28 touchdowns for the PIAA Class AAA state champion Vikings. Wood had one of Pennsylvania's most crowded backfields last season, but despite that, he managed to stand out enough to be named the Intelligencer's Player of the Year after the season.
He is rated 2-stars by Rivals but unrated on 247Sports. He checks in at 5'9" and 170 pounds, according to his profile on Hudl.com, and reports a 4.40 time on the 40-yard dash. If true, he has great speed for his position, but will likely have to add some bulk to be a durable player in the CAA at his position.
