Villanova football recruiting 2015: Neshaminy's D'Andre Pollard commits to the 'Cats

Villanova football recruiting is in high gear since the end of last week. The latest local kid to commit to the Wildcats is Neshaminy running back D'Andre Pollard.

The Playwickian

Villanova added their fourth member to the football Class of 2015 when Neshaminy running back-slash-cornerback D'Andre Pollard gave Andy Talley his verbal commitment yesterday. He is projected to play as a ball-carrier out of the backfield, but also has experience returning kicks.

Pollard measures in at 5-foot-7 and 170-pounds, and was a finalist for the title of 2013 Mr. Pennsylvania Football. In addition to being a speedy option on the gridiron, he also participated on the Track & Field team for Neshaminy, running the 60 meter dash as well as the long jump and triple-jump.

He ran for 2,929 yards last season on 328 carries on a team that registered a 13-2 record and won the PIAA District 1 Class AAAA championship in Pennsylvania. Pollard had little trouble finding the endzone, scoring 39 touchdowns as a junior.

The Philadelphia Inquirer named him to the first-team all-Southeastern Pennsylvania for his junior season and was also named first-team All-State Class 4A at running back.

He joins four other known commitments in the Villanova football 2015 class, RB Jarrett McClentonDL Bryan WhiteOL Keegan Sheedy, and OL Louie Csaszar.
