The Charlotte Hornets are keeping James Bell's professional basketball dreams alive.

The undrafted Villanova Wildcats alum has chosen to play on the Hornets' Summer League Squad in Las Vegas, NV. Bell was deciding between the Hornets and the Philadelphia 76ers, but his agent told the Philadelphia Daily News that he ultimately went with the Michael Jordan-owned franchise .
A notable player that will be alongside Bell this summer is Jordan Bachynski (C, Arizona State Sun Devils), a 7-footer who led the nation in blocks his senior year.

The three athletes drafted by the Hornets were Noah Vonleh (PF, Indiana), P.J. Hairston (SG, D-League Texas Legions), and Dwight Powell (PF, Stanford Cardinal). Former Xavier Musketeers PG Semaj Christon was traded to the Hornets from the Miami Heat in the Shabazz Napier deal, however the Oklahoma City Thunder now have his draft rights.
NBA Summer League sessions take place in Orlando, FL and Las Vegas, NV. The games played in Orlando are from July 5-11, and Las Vegas from July 11-21.
