Adeyemi Da Silva, a quarterback out of Palisades Park, New Jersey, has become the sixth known verbal commitment to join Villanova football's 2015 recruiting class. The PPL quarterback decided between offers that also included Albany, Monmouth and Coastal Carolina.
He reportedly drew interest from Rutgers, Virginia, Boston College and Temple as well.
I am very proud to announce that I have COMMITTED to VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY! I will now be part of the wildcats family! Truly blessed \\\///

Da Silva is classified by Rivals as a dual-threat quarterback, which usually plays well in Villanova's spread offensive system. His Hudl.com page reports a 4.65 40-yard dash and a 4.38-second shuttle for the 6'3" and 192-pound signal-caller.
NorthJersey.com named Da Silva a "Hot Commodity" in the 2015 class, for having both the size and arm-strength that college coaches crave. His running skill was presented as a bonus as well. He passed for 1,544 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior -- his first season as a full-time quarterback -- he also added 616 yards and five more touchdowns rushing.
Villanova has four quarterbacks currently on the roster, but Chris Polony will graduate after this season, while both starter John Robertson and third-stringer Cody Pittman will play their final season in Fall 2015. The 2014 recruiting class included New Jersey quarterback Zack Bednarczyk, who would compete with Da Silva to succeed Robertson as starting quarterback.
Da Silva joins five other known commitments in the Villanova football 2015 class, RB Jarrett McClenton, DL Bryan White, OL Keegan Sheedy, OL Louie Csaszar, and RB D'Andre Pollard.
