The top guard in the class of 2016 will be on campus with his mom.

Class of 2016 recruit Tyus Battle will be taking an unofficial visit to Villanova on Tuesday.

The 6'6" point guard from Gil St. Bernard is the #1 guard in his class according to Scout who also ranks him as #7 overall.

The 5-Star New Jersey native has 3-point range and an exceptional handle. And despite his offensive talents, ESPN notes, "Battle might actually be most gifted on the defensive end of the floor where he has the ability to be a true lockdown defender."

On Villanova Battle's father told Adam Zagoria, "Tyus will be there with his mom. We like Villanova and what they have to offer. We haven’t really been on campus much, so we’re looking forward to the visit."

Last weekend, Battle visited the University of Michigan. He will head to Kentucky next week. While most would put Villanova as a longshot to win this race in the end, this will be the second time Battle has visited Villanova (the last was for a game at the Wells Fargo Center) in 2014.
