Villanova basketball recruiting 2015: Donovan Mitchell sets official visit

Donovan Mitchell a 6'2" guard from Brewster Academy (AAU: The City) tallied an offer from Jay Wright following his play at the Reebok Breakout a few weeks ago. Now, the Class of 2015 prospect is set to take an official visit to Villanova next Monday.

Donovan Mitchell will visit Villanova on August 4th & likely Louisville on August 8th. I expect him to see Indiana & Florida State soon too.

Mitchell told ZagsBlog, "They’re telling me that I would be a main contributor to the team as far as play and leadership and that by sophomore year I they would need me to be a big part at that school by sophomore year."

The New York City native has an explosive first step and a solid physique. At the Reebok Breakout, Mitchell displayed improvement in his outside game to match his driving prowess providing offensive balance by keeping defenders honest.

Scout notes that his passing is solid and that Donovan buys in to play excellent defense.

Indiana, Louisville, Florida State, and Providence are among the others in the pack for Mitchell.
