Update (1:45pm): Silva will apparently cut his list down on August 17th prior to the final decision, per Pat Lawless.
Original post:
Chris Silva, the most likely frontcourt target left in Jay Wright's recruiting plans for 2015, has set a date to announce his college commitment.
I'll make my final decision in 19/09. In my birthday

Silva had previously tweeted that he was heading to Boston for the weekend to discuss his college options with his uncle, so it seemed as if he was getting closer to a decision. The 6'9" forward from Roselle Catholic (NJ) currently has a 100% Villanova prediction on the 247 Crystal Ball, and given his top five schools, that may not come as a huge shock.
Silva gained rave reviews during the July evaluation period for his improved play. Prior to the UAA Finals event, he was considered an athletic freak with a very raw game, but showed off an improved array of offensive moves both facing the basket and in the low post.
Silva would be a nice compliment to the already committed Tim Delaney, as the two offer different styles of play but fill the gaping frontcourt hole on Villanova's roster.
