In what may come as a surprising move, at least to Villanova Wildcats fans, 2015 point guard Bryant Crawford has cut his list to 7 schools, eliminating 'Nova in the process.
I WANT TO THANK ALL OF THE PROGRAMS WHO HAVE RECRUITED ME THIS FAR! BUT I HAVE CUT THE LIST TO 7 [NO SPECIFIC ORDER] pic.twitter.com/wo02NpF7IZ

Bryant Crawford (the high school teammate of Kris Jenkins) was previously on campus in the fall for Hoops Mania, before coming back North to the Main Line several weeks ago for an unofficial visit and reportedly enjoyed the trip.
As recently as late July, Crawford was naming Villanova as one of the schools recruiting him the hardest, but that seemed to have changed in recent weeks. With Donovan Mitchell off the board to Louisville, it would have made sense for Jay Wright to step up the recruitment for Crawford.
Is it possible that Wright feels like he's in good enough position with either Jalen Brunson or Isaiah Briscoe to back off Crawford?
