For what seems like forever, 2015 forward Chris Silva has been thought of as a Villanova-lean, with Seton Hall strongly in the mix. As Silva heads to South Orange for an official visit today, some more news is breaking that would suggest Villanova probably isn't sitting as pretty as we all hoped.
.@rc_basketball coach Dave Boff tells me Chris Silva (@SilvaObame) will likely visit Kansas State and Rhode Island on top of SHU, SC visits

No word on a Villanova visit. #NJhoops

Heard for longest time that Seton Hall and Nova were the favorites for Chris Silva. Sounding more like a fluid situation now. #NJhoops

That's pretty troubling if you are a Wildcats fan. If you're thinking Silva is just giving the other four schools lip service (much like Donovan Mitchell gave to Jay Wright before committing to Louisville), I'll have a heaping spoonful of whatever you're putting in your coffee.
It seems equally unlikely that with two scholarships still available in 2015, Jay Wright would back off Silva this late in his recruitment with no other post-players seriously considering 'Nova.
With how close Silva is to the Main Line and how much time there is until his September 19th commitment date, it wouldn't be too difficult for him to head south to Philly - whether or not that visit happens will likely be very telling in his recruitment.
