The Carrier Dome will present a familiar setting for Villanova Wildcats fans, but tonight the main event will feature football instead of basketball as the 'Cats and Syracuse Orange square off in the opening game of the season. While money is the primary motivation for Villanova, they've beaten FBS teams in the past, and come very close in others. As a borderline Top 10 team in the FCS, they are no walk in the park.
Syracuse finished last season strong to post a 7-6 record in Scott Shafer's first season at the helm, but fans are unsure what to expect - a lot rides on some key players taking a big step forward in year two.
There's not shortage of ways to catch the game tonight. We will have our gamethread live approximately 45 minutes before opening kickoff.
