Villanova football has officially checked back in for the Fall semester and launched their preseason practice schedule. In addition to introducing new faces to the offensive and defensive schemes and battling for playing time, the Wildcats will spend part of their camp preparing for their Labor Day Weekend trip to Syracuse, NY to take on the Orange at the Carrier Dome.
There will be 29 Practices in total between today and the opening game on the 29th, including two-a-days on the 8th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 18th, and 20th. Most will be held on the Stadium Turf, but the team has planned to have a walk-through and practice at the Carrier Dome on the day prior to their game.
The first five practices will be held at 1pm, with the first two-a-day session consisting of a 7:00 am morning practice and a 2:30 pm afternoon session. The times for practice will vary more as Villanova approaches the general freshman student check-in and Orientation.
Opening opponents Syracuse started their camp on Saturday, with a two-hour practice at the school's soccer complex yesterday afternoon. They will also train at Fort Drum, with military personnel on August 12th.
