Welcome to the offseason! The 2015 board will occur on the first weekday of the month, and the 2016 board will be posted on roughly the 15th of the month.
The Villanova Wildcats are currently sitting pretty, as they say, with regards to recruiting. They've got three commitments lined up in the 2015 cycle already with guards Jalen Brunson and Donte DiVincenzo, plus forward Tim Delaney> The 2016 class is loaded with talent, and Wright will have plenty of scholarships to use.
H/T to Mike, we've got a nice graphic of the roster outlook, so you can get a good feel for how the next few years will play out. If things hold, Wright will have 5 scholarships available for this class.
Backcourt
A huge area of need with Ryan Arcidiacono and Dylan Ennis both set to graduate the season before this class arrives. We'll have a better idea of what Phil Booth can handle soon, and Jalen Brunson looks like the point guard of the future. A guard who can score feels like the number one need.

Payton Pritchard
West Linn, OR (West Linn & Team Fast) |
6'1", 175 lbs. |
4-star #40 Nationally #8 PG #1 Oregon |
Wisconsin Kansas Michigan St. Oregon Notre Dame |
Pritchard is the best PG on the board. Wright and Baker Dunleavy went to meet with him on the first day of the recruiting period last week. Dunleavy's Northwest roots should help in this recruitment, but oddly enough the stiffest compeition is coming from B1G/Big 12 country. |
Rawle Alkins
Brooklyn, NY (Christ The King & NY Rens) |
6'4", 185 lbs. |
4-star #31 Nationally #5 SG #1 New York |
Indiana Cincinnati Kansas Louisville |
Jay Wright and Kyle Neptune will visit Alkins today. Alkins has been fond of both 'Nova and Cincinnati for a while, but now the blue bloods have started calling after he blew up over the summer. |
Lamar Stevens
Philadelphia, PA (Haverford School & Team Final) |
6'7", 195 lbs. |
4-star #112 Nationally #20 SF #4 PA |
Indiana Penn State St. Joseph's (PA) Temple La Salle |
Villanova was Stevens first offer, and the as he's local, they've been thought of as the frontrunner. Stevens has been quiet on his recruitment thus far. |
Tyus Battle
Gladstone, NJ (Gill St. Bernard's & Team SCAN) |
6'6", 180 lbs. |
5-star #13 Nationally #4 SG #1 NJ
|
Syracuse Duke Kentucky Michigan UConn |
Jay Wright was in to see Battle last week, and pitched him on staying close to home. Battle might visit for Hoops Mania, but it's the day before an already committed trip to Duke. |
Howard Washington
Buffalo, NY (Canisius & Albany City Rocks) |
6'2", 165 lbs. |
4-star #79 Nationally #21 PG #2 New York |
Syracuse Boston College Notre Dame Memphis Miami (FL) |
Villanova has reportedly offered Washington, but the Buffalo native is thought to be a strong Syracuse lean. |
Wolfgang Novogratz
Brooklyn, NY (Poly Prep & The City) |
6'2", 175 lbs. |
4-star #133 Nationally #35 PG #4 New York |
Northwestern Rutgers Georgetown Minnesota |
Novogratz lists an offer from Villanova, and visited for a game this winter. He looks like plan B to Payton Pritchard at PG. |
Kodye Pugh
Baltimore, MD (Boys' Latin & WE-R-1) |
6'6", 185 lbs. |
4-star #107 Nationally #18 SF #1 Maryland |
Georgetown Iowa Northwestern St. Joseph's (PA) Temple |
'A new name, Nova will meet with Pugh on Thursday. An offer could be coming. |
Vaughn Covington
Philadelphia, PA (Neumann-Goretti) |
6'0", 160 lbs. |
|
Xavier Miami (FL) Lehigh Holy Cross |
Covington is raking up mid-major offers right now. At the time he looks like a plan B for 'Nova. |
Jabri McCall
Philadelphia, PA (Martin Luthur King) |
6'0", 165 lbs. |
NR |
Creighton Xavier St. Joseph's (PA) Penn State |
Like Covington, he's mostly garnering mid-major interest at this time. He's a depth option. |
De'Monte Buckingham
Richmond, VA (Henrico) |
6'3", 185 lbs. |
3-star #168 Nationally #32 SG #8 Virginia |
VCU Virginia Cincinnati |
Villanova was reported to be checking in on Buckingham in March, but not much since then. This doesn't appear to be real anymore. |
Amarveer Singh
Jersey City, NJ (St. Peter's Prep & NY Lightning) |
6'7", 180 lbs. |
4-star #144 Nationally #26 SF #7 NJ |
Cincinnati Penn State Creighton Rutgers Virginia Seton Hall |
Singh picked up an offer from Jay Wright in October last year, but there hasn't been much noise in his recruitment since. He's behind Lamar Stevens in priority. |
Frontcourt
With Daniel Ochefu set to graduate as this class arrives on campus, it's imperative that Wright finds a good player to compliment Daryl Reynolds and Tim Delaney.

Sedee Keita
Middletown, DE (Vermont Academy & WE-R-1) |
6'9", 225 lbs. |
4-star #100 Nationally #24 PF #3 VT |
Syracuse Iowa State Memphis Temple |
Keita had good things to say about his visit to the Main Line when he spoke to Philly.com after a summer visit, and told Tyler Tynes he could see himself at Villanova. |
Kassoum Yakwe
Centereach, NY (Our Savior New American & Team SCAN) |
6'7", 220 lbs. |
3-star #162 Nationaly #36 PF #7 New York |
Kansas St. John's Iowa State Pittsburgh |
During the spring/summer Yakwe said Villanova was one of the schools after him the most, but he's been quiet since then. |
Omari Spellman
North Royalton, OH (MacDuffie (MA) & Team SCAN) |
6'8", 270 lbs. |
5-star #23 Nationally #5 C #2 Massachusetts |
Ohio State Cincinnati Arizona Indiana |
Spellman had a monster summer, but Villanova is still in the mix. The word in Ohio is that he's a Ohio State lean, but maybe his transfer to MacDuffie (MA) can get him out of Buckeye country long enough to open up his recruitment. |
Edrice Adebayo
Pinetown, NC (Northside & Boo Williams) |
6'8", 270 lbs. |
5-star #14 Nationally #2 C #3 North Carolina |
North Carolina North Carolina State Cincinnati Memphis Iowa State |
Villanova put in a call to Adebayo over the summer, but there hasn't been much love back since. |
Hyattsville, MD (Oak Hill Academy & DC Assault) |
6'7", 235 lbs. |
4-star #143 Nationally #32 PF #3 Virginia |
N/A |
Hampton visited in June, but then committed to Penn State in August. |
