Jalen Brunson, a 6'1" 190 lb. consensus 5-star point guard from Lincolnshire, Illinois, will make his college decision on Wednesday. According to his father Rick, Brunson will decide between Illinois and the Villanova. The announcement will be at

Brunson, who plays his high school basketball for Stevenson (IL) and for the Mac Irvin Fire on the AAU circuit, visited the Wildcats this past weekend. He had previously visited Illinois the weekend before, and has apparently canceled scheduled visits to Temple, Michigan St. and Purdue.
Rick Brunson previewed the big decision in an interview with Joe Henricksen.
"These are two great schools, two great basketball coaches," Rick Brunson said. "We had two great experiences on those two visits. Both coaches will be in one more time on Tuesday."
"I will tell you he’s on the fence, and it’s a tough decision," he told Henricksen. "But he is weighing what is best for Jalen. Where does he see himself? I can’t answer that. I told him I want him to come to us on Tuesday night or when he wakes up Wednesday morning and feel great about it and go with it."
The final visits by Jay Wright and John Groce will be key. With a decision still not made, it give each coach one final chance to convince Brunson on the merits of each program.
The 247 Crystal Ball had been trending in the Spartans' favor for weeks prior to official visits beginning, but ever since the Brunson's left Philadelphia, Villanova has led a clean sweep of picks since Villanova's official visit.
