And now, the "news."
‘Nova sophomore crashes the boards with "Hart" | City of Basketball Love
The most obvious was perhaps the Wildcats’ 24 assists on 28 buckets against Xavier, an incredible display of sharing the ball. Ryan Arcidiacono and Darrun Hilliard led the way with six dimes apiece, while the entire team combined for just five turnovers. But flying a little under the radar was the effort by Josh Hart.
Titus’s Top 12 NCAA Power Rankings: Virginia Is Playing Near-Perfect Old-School Basketball | Grantland
How about some love for Daniel Ochefu? He showed enough flashes of promise last season that I expected him to improve dramatically once James Bell graduated and Ochefu took over Bell’s spot in the starting lineup. But I never envisioned he’d be this good. Ochefu hasn’t had to do much in Villanova’s last two games because one was against DePaul and the Wildcats hit 15 3s in the other. But in the four previous games, Ochefu averaged 13.8 points, 14 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in less than 28 minutes. That’s silly.

Izod Center was a dump, but it was home to so many memories | Politi | NJ.com
"The place, of course, is the Meadowlands Arena — now the Izod Center, but Continental Airlines arena before that, and to some who were there from the beginning, forever Brendan Byrne Arena." Remember when Villanova played "at" Fordham back in the Reggie Redding years?
NCAA proposal would hurt more Division I schools than help them: Opinion | NJ.com
"[The proposal] would calculate a student-athlete’s full cost of attendance by using a combination of an existing federally mandated methodology and school-established policy (i.e., whatever the institution decides). That means that institutions with the financial resources will be able to reach deep into their pockets to secure a high-profile recruit."

Former Villanova All-American Has Dr. King’s Original "I Have A Dream" Speech & Didn’t Know For 20 Years | The Source
What’s even more mind-blowing, is that for 20 years, Raveling didn’t realize that he had the original copy of one of the most powerful speeches any individual has ever delivered on American soil pretty much laying around the house. He didn’t remember until a reporter asked Raveling about being involved in the historic day about two decades after it happened. He now keeps the speech locked up in a bank vault in Los Angeles.
