Jay Wright Style Watch: Penn

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Villanova traveled down Lancaster Avenue to the Palestra on Saturday night for another way-too-close match-up with the Penn Quakers. The 'Cats struggled to pull away until late in the second half, but Jay Wright was still dressed for success.

Heading to the classic arena and Cathedral of Philadelphia Big 5 basketball, Wright oped for a classic look, sporting a navy blue two-button suit. He matched it up with a blue-and-white windowpane patterned dress shirt and a nicely-matched silver textured tie (tied with what appears to be a double-windsor knot). He accentuated the look with understated accessories; his white pocket square and a brown belt and shoes.

The understated look comes as a bit of a surprise, but perhaps Jay was trying not to upstage fellow fashion-plate Jerome Allen at his house.

For his part, Allen appeared in a dark-gray two-button suit jacket covering a larger blue-and-white windowpane pattern, along with a navy blue tie. The Quakers' coach finished off his ensemble with a white pocket square, a black leather belt and shoes, and stylish thick-rimmed glasses.windowpane-checked shirt and a silver patterned tie. Additionally, Jay appears to have tied it all together with an understated brown belt and a plain white pocket square.
