The Sun's Arizin: Villanova wins inaugural Presidents' Award


TGIF, 'Nova Nation! Yesterday it was announced that Villanova won something called a Presidents' Award from the Big East, which apparently was created and awarded all on the same day. It's the first I've heard of it, for sure.

But, as the award represents pretty much all we love about Villanova, and as winning means we're better than everyone else, let's celebrate!

Villanova University has been named the inaugural winner of the BIG EAST Presidents' Award, which has been newly established by the BIG EAST Conference to annually recognize a member institution that has excelled in the areas of academics, athletics and citizenship.

The meet takes place on the Cross Country Course on the Lehigh campus and Villanova will have entries in both the Open race at 9:30 a.m. and the Gold race at 11 a.m. An awards ceremony takes place in Goodman Stadium at 12:45 p.m.
