Darrun Hilliard makes Detroit Pistons final roster

Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

Villanova fans were pretty sure that 2015 grad Darrun Hilliard would make the Detroit Pistons roster, but the final word came on Monday when the Motor City team cut former NBA All-Star Danny Granger.

Hilliard, who was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the second round with the #38 selection, will be one of the 15 players on the Active roster as the Pistons open up the NBA season at Atlanta.

The Bethlehem, PA native, who will make $600,000 this season, is probably #4 on the depth chart for the Pistons behind Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Jodie Meeks, and Reggie Bullock.
