A small tweet by Villanova's new Athletic Director Mark Jackson announced Jason Donnelly as the new as the Executive Director of the Villanova Athletic Fund replacing the since-departed Jeremy Wang.
Very excited to have Jason Donnelly leading our fundraising efforts as the Executive Director of the Villanova Athletic Fund #welldeserved!!

Wang, who left for Cal Berkeley, is being replaced by someone with strong ties to Villanova Basketball. Donnelly was an assistant coach under Jay Wright from 2008 through 2012 before being named a "Special Assistant to the Head Coach" where he was the "Basketball Staff's liaison to University Development, Alumni Relations and Villanova Athletics administrators."
Prior to the 2013-14 academic year he was named Director of Athletics Development for the Villanova Athletic Fund where he assisted in fundraising for the men's basketball program as well as other Villanova athletic programs. Wang has already given his public seal of endorsement, so this should be a smooth transition.
