Jay Wright and the Villanova Wildcats have landed two big signees as Omari Spellman and Dylan Painter have signed their National Letters of Intent to play for 'Nova.
Spellman, a 5-star prospect originally from Ohio, currently plays at St. Thomas Moore and verbally committed to Jay Wright in February. Since his commitment, the 6'8" big man has impressed many at the NBAPA Top 100 Camp, Pangos All-America Camp, and last month at the Sharette Dixon Classic.

Painter is another big man who will be joining the 'Cats on the Main Line. The 6'10" Hershey, PA native was a late bloomer on the national scene, but committed to Villanova early in the school year. Painter grew up as a Villanova fan, impressed many during the past spring/summer with Team Final on the EYBL circuit. That performance earned Painter a scholarship offer from Jay Wright in early August, after which he cut his list to 7 schools. He told City of Basketball Love:
"I guess it’s always been kind of my dream school, and over the last couple months, me and Coach Wright have had a great bond. He’s always been honest to me, just about their plan for me; they laid out a really good plan for me.
Congratulations to @dpaint4234 for signing his NLI to @NovaMBB today! #proudcoach pic.twitter.com/fAaR7pHMFg

Scout.com has rated this 2-man class as the 19th best in college basketball; ensuring that Villanova remains the class of the Big East Conference in the years to come.
At this point, it's official...
