Viewing Guide: How to watch Penn vs. Villanova

New, comment

The Wildcat can clinch at least a share of the Big 5 tonight.

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Villanova hosts cross-town rival Penn tonight at the Pavilion in the Wildcats' third Big 5 game of the season, and their final tuneup before Xavier comes to town on New Year's Eve. With just under a week off since last week's win over Delaware, some rust wouldn't be surprising for both teams while they shake off the holiday break.

The Quakers shouldn't present too much of a problem for 'Nova, but they did give them a good fight last season at the Palestra. If 'Nova doesn't look ahead, this should be a nice tuneup for Thursday night.

Game Time, TV Schedule: 7:00pm ET. The game will be aired on Fox Sports 1.

Odds: OddsShark reports the game opened at Villanova -26.5 with the line being bought up to -25.5 at some books as of Sunday night.

Radio: All Villanova Men's Basketball games air live on radio in the Philadelphia market on 610 WIP. Westwood One will also air coverage of the game - check your local listings, or you can use a radio app such as Tune.in.

Live Video Stream: FoxSportsGO will have the game available online.

BEVERAGE OF CHOICE

HopDevil IPA

I toyed with the idea of liquor for our first version of this but I know many of you to be beer drinkers. And really, if you're going to do that, it has to be an IPA. More alcohol = less beers consumed and thus a more efficient eBC rating.

We'll keep it local to Greater Philadelphia given the two teams playing tonight. I've actually only had the HopDevil once before, but I remember it fondly for its nice bite. It's brewer, Victory Brewing Company, fits right in with Villanova and tonight's expected result as well.
