The lady 'Cats are making just their second appearance all-time.

TGIF, 'Nova Nation! Since we're all counting the hours until Monday night's big matchup with Oklahoma, do yourself and favor and make some time to check out Villanva Volleyball's NCAA match against Dayton today at 5:00pm. There appears to be a video stream available, except for the fact that it won't have audio commentary.

Not to worry, Volleyball isn't that hard to follow!

Senior linebacker Don Cherry (Trumbull, Conn.) has earned another top academic honor, as he was named a Capital One Second Team Academic All-American for the second straight year. The 2015 Academic All-America Division I football team was selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and was revealed in an announcement on Thursday afternoon. Cherry is one of 10 student-athletes out of the 49 on the Academic All-America team who are repeat selections from last season.

The first of three home meets during the 2015-16 indoor track & field season takes place on Saturday afternoon when Villanova hosts the Jack Pyrah Invitational, a local event which has attracted a large number of area teams over the years. This is the 13th straight year that the Wildcats are hosting the meet, which is named for the longtime Villanova coach. Saturdays meet will begin with throwing events at 11 a.m. in the Pavilion on the Villanova campus. All running and field events will take place in Alumni Field House on the Haverford College campus, with field events there starting at 11 a.m., followed by running events at 12 p.m.
