Single game Pavilion tickets to be made available

Maybe getting to a game at The Pavilion won't be too hard this season.

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

For fans of the Villanova Wildcats, getting tickets for games at the CoreStates... First Union... Wachovia... Wells Fargo Center has never been that hard. The 21,000 South Philly arena always provided access to tickets on a fairly broad scale, even when Syracuseor Georgetownor Louisville came to town.

Tickets for games at The Pavilion have become the want. Sure, admission availability for early-season games against RPI 200+ teams would be occasionally announced... and for games over the Christmas or Spring Breaks.

But that will apparently change.

Last week, an email was sent to those on the season-ticket waitlist that "the Villanova Athletics ticket office will be releasing a limited number of single game tickets for men’s basketball games played at the Pavilion". Those tickets are coming from returns from an allocation to the opponent, students, and season ticket holders.

A unique code will be required for each game.

Fans whose sole chance at getting into The Pavilion to see 'Nova play is to pay 4times face value on StubHub or sucking up to a friend's uncle who has season tickets, this, at least, presents a need for only latching on to a friend on the waitlist.
