Jarrett McClenton has officially signed his National Letter of Intent with Villanova, the school announced this morning. The 5'9" 170 lb. Archbishop Wood (PA) running back originally committed to Villanova late June, at the time becoming the first verbal in Villanova's 2015 class by choosing the Wildcats over Albany, Bryant and Rhode Island among others.
Rated a 2-star prospect, McClenton certainly has the talent to compete at the FBS level but programs may have been scared off by his lack of size - though his speed is certainly elite and his reported 4.4 40-yard time holds up on review of his tape.

McClenton is exiting high school as a highly decorated player. He rushed for nearly 4,000 yards in his career and was the driving earned numerous offensive player of the year accolades. With Kevin Monangai and Austin Medley gone and Gary Underwood coming off a knee injury, there is playing time to be had and McClenton should certainly be in the mix for some touches, especially with his home run ability.
Welcome Jarrett to 'Nova Nation!
