D'Andre Pollard has officially signed his National Letter of Intent with Villanova, the school announced this morning. The 5'8" 180 lb. Neshaminy (PA) running back originally committed to Villanova late June, at the time becoming the fifth verbal in Villanova's 2015 class.
Pollard rushed for over 1,200 yards (7.2 ypc) during his senior season and logged over 4,500 total yards in his career with 54 touchdowns. Like his backfield mate Jarrett McClenton, he's a bit undersized but shows good speed and shiftiness in the open field and uses his low center of gravity to pick up extra yards at contact.

With Gary Underwood the unquestioned returning starter, it will be a dogfight for carries behind him. Pollard operated out of a spread offense at Neshaminy so that similarity with Villanova's spread offense could give him a leg up in the competition for touches.
Welcome D'Andre to 'Nova Nation!
