Bryan White signs with Villanova

The legacy recruit becomes the third member of his family to don the Wildcats uniform.

Bryan White has officially signed his National Letter of Intent with Villanova, the school announced this morning. The 62" 285 lb. Henderson (PA) defensive tackle originally committed to Villanova late June, at the time becoming the second verbal in Villanova's 2015 class.

The massive defensive lineman is a Big 33 selection, a 1st-Team All-State selection and was named the MVP of the Ches-Mont League in 2014. White is the third member of his family to attend Villanova (his older brother T.J. is currently a linebacker on the roster and his father played on the Main Line as well).

Depth Chart (* denotes walk-on)
Class Name Height Weight
Senior Jordan Hunter 6'2" 324 lbs.
(RS) Freshman Ricky Young 6'2" 292 lbs.
Freshman Bryan White 6'2" 285 lbs.

With the graduation of Pat Williams, playing time is immediately available for those that can grab it. Jordan Hunter returns and should find his way in to the starting lineup, but behind him is just Ricky Young, and then Bryan White. There's a chance that Mike Williams and/or Eric Drains could see some time inside, but they spent most of last season on the edge.

Welcome Bryan to 'Nova Nation!
