The 2015 edition of the Big East Tournament begins tonight with a pair of first round games at Madison Square Garden. All four teams in action will be hoping tonight marks the start of a deep run that can send them to the NCAA Tournament, because it's lose and go home time for the bottom four of the conference.
Both games will air on FOX Sports 1.
More from Seton Hall
In the early game, Seton Hall should have a distinct home crowd advantage against Marquette. The two teams split the season series with each club notching a road victory. The Pirates will look to Sterling Gibbs who returned from a concussion to record 22 points and 5 assists in the weekend loss to Georgetown. Marquette comes in with a tiny bit of momentum, as they dispatched DePaul over the weekend to finish the regular season on a high note.
In the late game, Creighton will see if they can get off the snide against DePaul. These two teams also split the regular season series by recording wins on the road. The Bluejays have lost three straight heartbreakers by a combined six points total, but Austin Chatman appears to be heating up at the right time of the year for Greg McDermott. The Blue Demons have lost seven straight, their last win coming in early February.
