Facing a 12 noon game on a Thursday as the 1-seed in the Big East Tournament, Wright and his Villanova Wildcats got right down to business.
In their first game of the 2015 post-season, Jay Wright and his squad did not disappoint. As the Wildcats dismantled the Marquette Golden Eagles by 35, the head coach put in a very solid effort in his style.
A novice coach would be ill-prepared for handling a 1-seed and a noon weekday tip in Manhattan. Wright applied immense cognizance of the situation and dressed perfectly for the situation. For the Madison Square Garden hardcourt, the Head Coach moved away from his streak of three-pieces and donned a two-piece navy-blue pinstripe suit. Underneath, he wore a light blue shirt and the same fuchsia geometric tie that he has worn once before- against Marquette at the Wells Fargo Center.
In a unique switch, Wright with a patterned pocket-square; a light blue gingham plaid one.
