The Powerade Jam Fest is the prelude to the McDonald's All-American game, and features three events that are familiar to anyone who has watched any of the professional All-Star weekends. The skills competition, three-point shooting contest, and dunk contest are fun to watch and can provide fans with bragging rights, even if they're inconsequential at the end of the day.
Tonight, Villanova Wildcats signee Jalen Brunson will play a part in all three events, even if he's only directly competing in two of them. Per Michael O'Brien, Brunson will compete in both the skills competition and three-point shooting contest, as well as aid Stephen Zimmerman in the dunk contest.
This will be many fans first look at what is expect to be Villanova's point guard of the future, with a second looking coming during the McDonald's All-American game on Wednesday night.
