The Villanova Wildcats have offered Friends' Central School (Pa.) wing DeAndre Hunter. The 6'7" 180 pound Hunter plays for Philly Pride on the Under Armour circuit, and was one of the biggest stock risers on the AAU circuit after a strong spring and summer.

Hunter has been on Villanova's radar for well over a year, but after dominating this summer and getting scouted by Villanova at the Las Vegas Fab 48 this weekend, the Wildcats have finally formally tossed their hat in the ring. Hunter joins Lamar Stevens, Kevin Huerter and Wenyen Gabriel as 2016 wings that Villanova is recruiting.
Hunter, a 3-star prospect currently ranked #148 in the 247 Composite, is a rangy player who can shoot from the outside and use his handle to create his own shot and get to the rim. At 6'7", he brings size to the guard position and should be able to defend forwards at the college level once he puts on some more muscle. Hunter's strong performance this spring has seen him add offers from Virginia, UConn, St. John's and Georgia Tech in recent weeks. Miami (FL) currently leads in his Crystal Ball.
