Since picking up an offer from Villanova in late June, Kevin Huerter has played it pretty close to the vest as far as his recruiting goes. He took off most of the July live period after a monstrous rise during the spring and has only taken one unofficial visit (to Maryland).
Things will start ramping up quickly though. Adam Zagoria is reporting that Huerter has set four official visits, and is still considering eight schools (conflicting with a report from earlier this week suggesting Huerter was focusing on six). Huerter will trip to Villanova on August 30-31 before heading to Maryland (Sept. 4-6) and Michigan (Sept. 12-14) on back-to-back weekends. He'll visit Notre Dame September 24-26.
There are different schools of debate on whether you want the first or the last visit, but in this instance it's probably a good thing that the Wildcats get the first shot. Huerter recently visited Maryland (unofficially) and came away very impressed. Jay Wright will get his chance to impress before he heads back to College Park, and he's said in the past that he's open to committing to a school and cancelling his remaining visits if he finds a fit that's right for him.
Another 2016 prospect, Dylan Painter, will be visiting a week before Huerter on August 24-25.
