Happy Tuesday, 'Nova Nation! Thank you to The Inquirer's Mike Jensen, who reminded me that there is a ongoing search for the next AD at Villanova. The whole thing has been so hush-hush that I actually forgot it was still ongoing.

Villanova isn't anywhere near a job like Michigan or Notre Dame, so we shouldn't kid ourselves with the prospects out there, but it would be nice to see the University leak some names to see how the alumni base might respond. It's not do-or-die time, but it is an opportune time to make a bold statement and bring in a strong leader who can drive athletics forward.

So we wait. And hope.

And now, the "news."

Athletes in a conference with no public schools — like the Big East in basketball — could make the case that unionization would not upset competitive balance.
