The Sun's Arizin: Is Jarrett McClenton the next star for Villanova football?

Freshmen don't usually get this kind of press on the Main Line.

Huuuuuuuuump Daaaaaaaaay! John Robertson needs help on offense this season. As if a revamped offensive line wasn't enough to worry about, he's replacing his two wide receivers and two running backs that carried a lot of the load the past couple of years.

But help could possibly come in the form of freshmen running back/slot receiver Jarrett McClenton. He's an FBS talent, who probably wasn't recruited at the highest level because of his slight stature. That shouldn't be too big of a deterrent in the FCS, and he's getting a ton of praise from Andy Talley and his teammates early on. That's rare at Villanova, and worth noting.

With Robertson on deck for his final season, McClenton may be able to help secure his legacy, and then go on to create on of his own.

And now, the "news."
