Happy Monday, 'Nova Nation! Villanova has made really good use of the 1-2-2 zone press recently (although some might argue not enough), and now with the shot clock going down to 30 seconds, that press should only produce more positive results if it can be implemented correctly.
Mikal Bridges feels like the natural weapon to replace Darrun Hiliard at the top, using his length to disrupt the offense. If Bridges can be successful there, Villanova should be able to mirror some of their man-to-man woes by forcing the offense to work a bit harder.
