2016 forward Dylan Painter cuts list to 7 schools

2 power forwards in one class at Villanova? It might happen!

Earlier this afternoon, Villanova offered Dylan Painter a scholarship. That offer felt like a long time coming, given Painter's impressive performances this spring and summer for Team Final, but with Omari Spellman already in the fold and a slew of offers out to Top 100 wings, the Villanova coaching staff had to be sure.

Now, on the heels of that scholarship offer, Painter has trimmed his list to seven schools.

Painter has already used two official visits (to Xavier and Iowa), and thus has three remaining.

Villanova received an unofficial visit in May, and given his proximity to the school he could easily visit again. Penn State has been on Painter the longest since offering in April - and has already landed two of his AAU teammates in Nazeer Bostick and Tony Carr (while still chasing Lamar Stevens).

Penn State currently leads in Painter's Crystal Ball - but the two most recent picks are for Villanova following their offer today.
