The Villanova Wildcats have landed a verbal commitment from Mt. Lebanon (Pa.) offensive lineman Paul Grattan. He announced the commitment via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon.

Grattan is a 6'3" 295 lb. lineman who has played both tackle and guard for his high school, and some defensive end as well. Villanova officially offered him a scholarship on June 29th, and he eventually chose the Wildcats over offers from conference rivals William & Mary and Richmond, plus additional offers from Toledo, Duquesne and St. Francis (Pa.).
Grattan shows a good ability to lock up with the opposition and move them whatever way he wants, whether that's downfield or to the ground. He shows good athleticism for his size as well, which should make him a good fit in Villanova's spread offense.
Grattan is the eighth verbal commitment for Andy Talley this year, and the second on the offensive line (joining Peter Fallon).
