The Sun's Arizin: Randy Foye hands down lessons to Big East freshmen

New, comments

Good on ya, Randy!

Happy Tuesday, 'Nova Nation! Mark Jackson is officially on campus and on the job for Villanova. Make sure to read and leave your remarks on Brian's open letter to the new head man. He may not respond (please do Mark!), but I'm confident he'll take a look at all your suggestions.

Lots of good reads today - led by Randy Foye's look back at the Big East freshmen symposium. It's so great that the basketball players stay involved with the school and program. Having met Randy, can say with conviction he's one of the best this program has produced.

And now, the "news."

I nearly went with "the entire ACC," seeing as how five quarterbacks have gone down over the first three weekends, including three in Week 3. But most of those QBs were adequate, at best. Not Bednarczyk, who came off the bench to relieve John Robertson midway through the fourth quarter of the Wildcats' big FCS game at Delaware, immediately throwing a tying TD pass and then marching 74 yards on six plays to win it, capped by a 21-yard TD run.
