Make it 5 verbal commitments in the past 48 hours as local DL Doug Costin from Bishop Shanahan (Downington, Pa.) pledged to the Villanova Wildcats on Monday night. Jeff Kerr reported the news.
FOOTBALL: Bishop Shanahan DT Doug Costin gave a verbal to Villanova tonight. Costin was Ches-Mont National Defensive Player of Year in '15.

Costin plays both DT and DE but at 6'3" 260 is likely more suited to play outside in Villanova's 3-3-5 system unless he packs on a ton of weight in college. He's one of the best players locally and held an offer from Western Michigan before deciding on the Wildcats.
Kudos to the Villanova coaches, who have been closing like mad men as signing day approaches, and welcome to 'Nova Nation Doug!
