With the impending blizzard about to land in the Northeast, games across the country have been threatend to be postponed. Earlier today, the ACC pushed back several weekend games and now the BIG EAST has followed suit, pushing back the Villanova-Providence game by 25 hours.
UPDATE: Villanova/Providence men's basketball game will be held at 1 pm on SUNDAY at Wells Fargo Arena. Game will still air on FOX.— Cayleigh Griffin (@cayleighgriffin) January 21, 2016
This is the smart decision, as it will give both teams and staffs plenty of time to get in to town safely and it will allow more fans to make the game once snow crews have had a chance to clear the road.
Nice job by the Big East making the early call as well, giving everybody plenty of notice to alter their plans. Time to rearrange those calendars and block out Sunday!
