2017 PG Chris Lykes picks up Villanova offer

Lykes is an exciting DMV prospect.

Villanova Basketball has been on hiatus extending offers since the fall, but on Thursday night that changed when 2017 Gonzaga (D.C.)/Team Takeover point guard Chris Lykes landed an offer from the Wildcats.

A 5'7" point guard, Lykes is very much undersized compared to the guards that Jay Wright has been targeting as of late, but there's no denying his skill level. He's an elite ball handler who can play the game at a wicked pace and he's got a very nice stroke from the outside. He's almost unguardable on dribble penetration where he can finish at the rim due to his strength and athleticism, or pick a great pass to a cutting teammate.

Lykes has offers from Georgetown, Miami (FL), VCU, Dayton, George Mason and Richmond. Right now, just one pick for the Hoyas in his Crystal Ball.
