Huuuuuuuump Daaaaaaay! Media Day has come and gone, and it sure looked like a lot of fun. Especially the part where everyone wondered aloud how they could beat Villanova.
On the 'did ya know' side though, Zags has a story below about the increase in negative recruiting directed at Villanova. And how do you do that to the reigning champs, and the program that has won more games than anybody in the last three years? Apparently tell kids that Jay Wright doesn't want you in the NBA.
Jay's retort, and his public statements in the past, pretty much directly contradict that theory, but it is interesting nonetheless. And it also hasn't really hurt 'Nova at all (see: they're winning a ton). Villanova has never been, and probably never will, be in the one-and-done game. They'll just keep chugging along and churning out winners anyways.
And now, the "news."
