The 2016-17 Villanova Basketball season tips off on November 5th in an exhibition against the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks at the Wells Fargo Center.

For the ninth consecutive year, head coach Jay Wright is organizing a program to bring inner-city youth from the Greater Philadelphia area to a Villanova Basketball game free of charge.

For most ‘Nova fans the thought of heading to South Philly for this exhibition is an afterthought; they will be happy to simply watch the highlights and read our recap. However, for a large number of inner-city kids, the opportunity to go watch the reigning national champions at the Wells Fargo Center could be a life-long highlight.

Head Coach Jay Wright has asked the Villanova Financial Club for help in underwriting this opportunity but anyone can make a donation.

This season’s goal is to provide tickets for 5,000 kids and families to the game; a donation of $100 can send 20 Philly youths.
