Each year right before the season begins we begin to get reports from the not-so-secret scrimmages that take place across college basketball. Last year, Villanova took on Maryland with reports surfacing shortly after that the Terps had a rough day at the office against what proved to be a dynamic Villanova team.
This year, ESPN’s Jeff Goodman is reporting that the ‘Cats will take on Pittsburgh this weekend. That brings back some memories!
Pittsburgh plays Villanova in secret scrimmage on Sunday; also on Sunday is Nebraska at Iowa State.

Pitt has had an offseason full of change with former head coach Jamie Dixon leaving his post to take the TCU job (his alma mater). Kevin Stallings was brought in from Vanderbilt and will take charge of a team that went 21-12 (9-9) last year.
Hopefully we’ll get some reports from the game, and hopefully they are just as positive as last season.
